For players

Welcome, all current and future players. This page is dedicated especially to telling you what you as a player need to do in order to play with the Purdue Men’s Rugby team. Everything here is just for players to handle to have a successful season. Thank you for filling out all the forms and let’s have some fun!

Rugby Explorer

These are organizations outside of Purdue and are who control our conference and rugby as a whole. For USA Rugby, it is the same as when you were in high school. Go to this link. Sign in or sign up and when prompted for a team, type in “Purdue University” and select the men’s D1A team. These organizations are the reason we can play rugby and have the opportunities we have.

NCR

These are organizations outside of Purdue and are who control our conference and rugby as a whole. For NCR go to this link and follow the prompted steps. These organizations are the reason we can play rugby and have the opportunities we have.

Club Waiver

The club waiver is a short form that lets Purdue know that you are in this club. It also contains notes about safety and other things. Please fill it out. The club waiver: Here

Concussion Baseline Test

The Concussion Baseline Test is something every Highschool athlete is familiar with. This baseline is taken so that at a later date we can determine if you have a concussion or not. This is mandatory for all players who want to play for the club. This test is administered at the Cordova Recreational Facility. This only needs to be taken once. You can find the scheduling service here.

Driver's Certification

In order to go to any away games, we need people who have completed their Driver Certification process. Purdue requires this of all clubs and if we don’t have enough drivers, our outings will be canceled and our season will be curbed. Please do your Driver’s Certification. The link to it can be found here. Make sure to email your completion to our current President. A study guide can also be found here.

Dues

Purdue Men’s Rugby is a club and that means it is supported in part by donations from alumni and parents, and through the dues paid by players each season. Dues are meticulously calculated so we can make them as cheap as possible for all players. There are late fees for those who do not pay on time. If you have any trouble with paying for dues make sure to talk to our current treasurer about payment options so you can still be a part of the team. Dues can be paid in person or online at this link. Thank you!
