Loss on the Road

This weekend, Purdue faced off against IUPUI. After a rough two weeks, Purdue was looking to get back to the winner’s circle. With a new back line announced led by freshman Zander Visser, Purdue was eager to get started. As the game kicked off, Purdue was on the defense for a bit as IUPUI got the first score. But Purdue was quick to strike back. A sloppy ball from IUPUI was snapped up by Zander who took it 50 meters for an easy score under the posts. And from then on the game was a close one with the score at halftime being an even 12 for both sides. As the second half started, Wes Stephens recovered a loose ball and scored within 30 seconds of the half starting. However, IUPUI wasn’t going away without a fight and was quick to fight back. The game was close and could have gone either way. Despite Purdue looking much better this game they fell just short and couldn’t quite hold on. IUPUI won 37-26.
